FESTIVAL OF NATION 2010 @ AMERICAN SCHOOL OF BOMBAY , MUMBAI , INDIA

Festival of  Nations or commonly known as FON was celebrated on the 25th March 2010 at American School of Bombay in Mumbai. The celebration started at 9.00am and ended at about 10.00 am.

Students of American School of Bombay from various countries performed shows that depicted their own countries’ cultures.The countries that took part in this year’s event are New Zealand, South Africa, Israel, America, Korea and Malaysia.

The Malaysian children had performed a dance called “Joget”. The dance was choreographed by Mrs Maherah. Sincere thanks to all her hard work and dedication. The performance had overwhelmed the audience. The children had done a wonderful performance. BRAVO! 

Many thanks to all those who had helped to make the event succesful.

     

    

DESSERT DEMO @ A’LA MODE BANQUETS , JUHU, MUMBAI, INDIA

The Dessert Demo was organised by Perwakilan Mumbai for the ladies to learn the making of desserts. This was held on 22nd March,2010 at  A’la Mode  Banquets from 11.00 am till 2.00 pm.

The Chefs’  showed us to make Black Forest Cake, Fruit Trifle, Baked Alaska, Chocolate Souffle and Apple pie. It was a learning experience with many baking tips. The chefs’ also shared with us decoration ideas. The ladies had many questions and was answered by the chefs’

All of us had a very delightful time together learning and also sharing our own baking tips.At about 1.00pm we were invited to a delicious lunch prepared by A’la Mode. 

   

   

     

   

   

 

MUMBAI MALAYSIAN BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 2010 @ AMERICAN SCHOOL OF BOMBAY, MUMBAI, INDIA

Badminton Championship 2010 organised for Malaysian by Consulate General of  Malaysia in Mumbai. The Badminton Championship was held on 21st March, 2010. The tournament had three categories men doubles, women doubles and children doubles.

The tournament created excitement and sportsmanship to everyone. The children had also done their best, practising  for the match. It was a successful event with many players and supporters. The event started at 10.20 am and finished only at 4.00pm.  

The winners got trophy and all participants also were given a souvenir for remembrance. The winner for children category was Mathan and Faizal bin Shahril. Men category winner was Mr Azmee and Mr Chee while women category was Mrs Jasbir and Mrs Asiah.

PERWAKILAN MUMBAI LADIES LUNCHEON (THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY) “PURPLELICIOUS”

Date: 5 March 2010.

Time: 1200pm – 4.00pm.

Venue: Global Fusion,Bandra , Mumbai, India.

Theme: Purplelicious.

This luncheon was organised by the ladies of PERWAKILAN MUMBAI purely to celebrate the INTERNATIONAL WOMEN”S DAY.It was also meant to get everyone together and to celebrate for all the women’s around the world. We all were dressed in Purple to show uniformity and closeness we share as women’s.

In line with the theme, the ladies made their presence felt and turned heads by appearing in vibrant purple! Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous and vibrant that day. 

We took the opportunity to celebrate Mrs Julia Idaly, Mrs Enba , Mrs Nur Fadzlin and Mrs Beatrice birthday!

KELAS BAHASA MELAYU UNTUK ANAK-ANAK PERWAKILAN MUMBAI 1/2010

Kelas Bahasa Melayu 1/2010, iaitu yang pertama untuk tahun ini telah dijalankan pada 28 Februari 2010, di American School of Bombay, Bandra-Kurla, Mumbai. Kelas telah dimulakan pada pukul 12.00 tengahari dengan mencatatkan jumlah kehadiran seramai 9 orang.

Dibawah tunjuk ajar Puan Masitah, selaku tenaga pengajar kali ini, anak-anak dilatih untuk  membaca dan menjawab soalan. Anak-anak diminta membace bergilir-gilir untuk mengenal perkatanan  dan maksudnya. Setelah latihan menjawab soalan tamat , anak-anak disuruh untuk menulis karangan mengenai diri sendiri.

Kelas tamat pada pukul 1.00 petang.
