MALAYSIAN SPORTS DAY -A CIRCULAR FROM THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF MALAYSIA

Dear all, here is the circular circulated by the Consulate General of Malaysia in Mumbai:

MALAYSIAN SPORTS DAY 2009 – CIRCULARS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS

The Consulate General of Malaysia wishes to thank you in advance for your participation in the forthcoming Malaysian Sports Day 2009 on 15 and 22 November 2009.

The registration for Badminton and Football is now closed and latecomers can only be considered for bowling games. Your badminton partners, football and bowling teams have been drawn. Kindly check your team members in the attached tables.

The Badminton tournament will be on Sunday, 15 November 2009  at ASB Multi Purpose Hall, BKC. The tournament will start at 11 am sharp and must be completed by 3.00 pm. Kindly be at the venue BEFORE 11.00 am. Participant must bring their own racquets.

Those who want to practice with their partners may attend the final practice on Friday, 13 November at 6.30 pm – 9.00pm at the same venue.

During Badminton tournament on 15 November 2009, children are not allowed to be in the Hall. The arrangement has been made for children to play at playground to be supervised by the Consulate Staff. The Consulate is however not liable to any accident or injury involving children. Those taking part in the tournament while having children below 5 years old are strongly advised to bring along their nanny as not to expose them to any danger.

Mineral water and some food will be provided during the Badminton tournament. Participants are however encouraged to bring along their food on a pot luck basis to be shared with others. Paper plates and plastic cutlery and plastic cup will be provided by the Consulate. Contribution of soft drinks is very much welcomed.

Bowling and football events on Sunday, 22nd November will be at The Club Juhu.  Kindly be at the venue NOT LATER THAN 11.30 am as registration and fees collection will be made prior to the start of the games. The events on 22nd November 2009 is expected to end by 6.00pm.

INVITATION TO AN IFTAAR @ THE RESIDENCE OF GENERAL CONSUL OF MALAYSIA IN MUMBAI ON 29 AUGUST 2009

We would like to announce that the Consul General of Malaysia in Mumbai, Mr. Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, and his family are hosting an iftaar at their residence here in Bandra, Mumbai, India on 29 August 2009 (Saturday). All Muslim friends are cordially invited and please come before Maghrib prayer time.

The main dishes will be prepared by the wife of Consul General, Mrs. Zuhaila Abd Latif while the rest of the menu will be on potluck basis. Puan Rosmayati Roslin, the Head of Sub-committee For Event Coordination & Food will be in-charge of food arrangement.
